the early prognosis.  I&#39;m sure Keith Oliver must be heart broken after the news because he got along with the mare from the first time he drove her.  My

			<description><![CDATA[ <p><strong>What is the slowest race any of you old timers remember at a parimutuel race ? Today&#39;s times still astound me.  I remember the crowd at
Roosevelt giving Adios Butler a standing ovation for going a 1:59 and change mile.

The slowest race I remember was a rainy, nasty night at Yonkers in the early 60&#39;s. A trot went in about 2:16 +.  I remember this well, as I bet on a front

In April of 87 he got good. He won a conditioned race on a saturday night at Balmoral. Paid around $9.00.

			<description><![CDATA[ Weather wise, what was the worst night you ever went to the track.

One day in late January at Hawthorne  on a Saturday in I think &#39;81 or 82. they ran a double header. The temperature was -3 at post time for the afternoon
card at 1:00pm. Between the races at 6:00pm the local news said the temperature was -16. They STILL RAN. Every race went. One was a 2 horse race between
Bicentenial Star (Ron Marsh) and Satin Sooty (Steve Spriggs). The final race was won by Big Ralph with Doug... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I just had a very nice woman PM me and inquire about SuperLou. This filly raced quite some time ago, and produced Shane T Hanover, among others.  Her and her
preteen daughters came down from Maine to visit Florida, and wound up at Ben White Raceway. After all these years, she and her daughters remember asking Johnny
if they could see her. John was gracious enough to have her led out of the stall so they could pet her and visit a bit. She commented on how gracious everybody
was, and it remains... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Lets hear about the nicest trotter you had personal experience with. I was lucky with assignment to Ledgend Hanover, who won Hambletonian after 2yr old of
year honors, but I feel that the most talented trotter I dealt with was the first foal out of a mare named Superlou. His name was Shane T Hanover and he was a
sale topper that year as a yearling, and really took awhile to get serious about his game. He was so playful and loved to run during his freshman year, he was

			<description><![CDATA[ I had asked the Meadowlands if they could put on You Tube the 1980 Meadowlands Pace elimination where Niatross finished fourth.  To me, Niatross put on one of
the greatest efforts of all time to finish fourth.  Unfortunately, the Meadowlands does not have that race available.

			<description><![CDATA[ In the post 1976 era, I want to add Michel Lachance to the pantheon of immortal drivers.  After checking his accomplishments they stand up very well to Pierce
and JC.  Several Hambos, 5 Jugs!!!.  He&#39;s won all the classics and at 59 years old he&#39;s having a fine season especially on Gurfein&#39;s trotters.  If
you meet him in person he has the body of a 25 year old.  He&#39;s in incredible shape. ]]></description>
