"They were the best of times-they were the worst of times"-these words describe my journey into harness racing..We always had riding horses growing up,they were part of the extended family.

  I started out with the standardbreds cleaning stalls at 14 (26 years ago).I jogged my first horse at 16,it was way cool!! I havent looked back since.I`v seen alot of horses come and go.Its a hard business,hard on horses as well as people.

 This has been a ride that has taken me to Ill,KY,IN,NY,and to Florida,untill I landed in Michigan.We have one horse-a two year old  trotter-Mr. Billy Blue,he is such a nice horse to be around,very willing,he gets along well with the kids(even likes them-lol).He has some ability,but not much size-but that`s ok, he is consistant and wants to do the right thing.......6-24-09 I worked the trotting colt today 2:19 flat last 1/4 .32 It was the second time he`s been in .20 He was ok,and he did it more then willingly.Could be you`ll see us at Charlotte,MI July 10th....May God and luck be with us!!....

 7-11-09..It was a good experience,had the 5 hole,made a break leaving,went right back trotting,finished 3rd,see ya in Hastings

 7-23-09 We raced on the 19th-ran like a deer,finished 5th out of 7...made some changes..see ya in Holland on the 30th

  7-31-09... 4th  race 4 hole,raced good ran at the 1/4 pole went right back trotting finished third,changes helped see ya in Kazoo Aug.11th

 8-13-09..4th race 3 hole,Left the gate well,going to 3/4 pole trotted between horses to take the lead-We Win!!Raced good.Next stop the Spartan,hoping for a decent check.

8-19-09..Midland was a bust-boy this is a hard game...next stop..Hicksville,OH on the 22nd

8-23-09..Got a 5th.Just sat the mile,went clean..Next stop Harrison on the 26th.

8-31-09..track condition,sloppy,but he went through it and win`s!!!!!!Time for some R&R,next stop Allagan Sept.16th.

9-18-09..He left out of the gate and was on top by 4 at the 1/4......Wins it,Wire to wire..See ya in centreville on the 24th....

9-25-09..5 hole.He`s getting hot,made a break after being put into a hole,first 1/2 got the best of him1:02.2,finished 4th..maybe hillsdale on Oct.1st

Favorite horse?
Royal Ale-thats another story,got her in the fall of her 3 year old year-she was unbroke.broke her and worked her down-trained her in 213.1 by herself in the jog cart,thought great we are ready to qualify-no such luck she trotted the mile just didnt want to particapate-lol what a girl.Raced her in the overnights at the fairs 11 starts 2 wins 4 seconds 4 thirds and a fifth
