I love the ideas on the "pullthepocket" link, but would have had to have been scheduled before or after The Games and then you have to get the race commission's blessing to change dates. Toss the Games out window and closing the Lex grand circuit weeks with the Crown would be a perfect finale to the season.
This would have been a pr dream, but no way the two events could have run at the same time - where will the horses and two-leggers board? Lex stalls, surrounding farms and hotels all would be in the overflow mode -track time for workouts for the different races / events - cost and location of seating for all the connections - which events are held at which time of day.
A logistical nightmare.
Now with the dates firmed up, I sure hope The Society and Pocono are in the process of getting their own pr house in order with seating charts & prices, packages, post time, free programs? - parking? - caps or t-shirts?
