juliekj, Don't get so excited I just stated that the horses didn't look to be in a race in the pictures. And as you stated the horses weren't
racing at the time the pictures were taken. I also believe that those horses were trotters. I have no idea how you warm horses up in Norway but I don't
put hopples on a horse to warm him up 40 min before a race I don't go a slow mile with them either. I jog them about a 1 1/2 miles and bring them back
to the paddock and put a blanket or sheet on them depending on the weather. About 10 minutes before they go out to score down before the race I put the
hopples, and whatever boots they might wear to race on them and then just before they leave the paddock for the post parade I put the race bridle and
headpoles on them. I don't put all their equipment on them 40 min. before the race just to warm up. Sorry if I offended you.
